This is a BMX I customized, the story behind it is pretty cool…..
My friend actually found this bike! However it didn't look like the picture above.....
I think this bike was stolen about 3 times before I got my hands on it, and here's why:
When my friend gave it to me, it was painted white (not spray painted, I mean actual Acrylic paint that you apply with a brush). It had paint drips everywhere, there was rust in every nook and cranny and it didn’t drive for sh*t! After cleaning the first layer it turned out to have another paintjob beneath it. Black and yellow where the main colours, but it didn’t stop there. After getting rid of the second layer the bike turned out to be chrome!! It had stickers and logo’s and everything…. They just painted over it! But thats not how I did it….
Along with my old man (thnQ Sir!) I fixed up the bike. So when I ride now: nothing but smooth sailing! The colour combination was my idea and was inspired by a shoe. The Nike Huarache to be exact. Unfortunately I don’t own that shoe……yet!!
I‘ve got another BMX-project lined up, but I’ll do that when the weather forecast is a bit better.
